As a fashion retailer we know all too well the impact that our industry has on the planet. Being aware and being responsible is really important to us, as we know it is to you too.
Our mission is to move towards being as sustainable as possible in all aspects of our business, while bringing you the Moo Bou clothes that you love at an accessible and affordable price.
We don’t claim to be perfect and have this all figured out, but we’re on this journey together. It is important to us to be as transparent and open as possible as we move towards making the business greener and more sustainable. We want to be leaders in a positive and planet friendly approach to fashion.
The next step in the process is creating this statement to outline what we are already doing and our plans for future initiatives for you to see.
Things We’re Already Doing
Green MOO
Green Moo is our signature sustainable range, which focuses on sustainable materials. Depending on the season, Green Moo makes up to 10-20% of our overall range.
The Green Moo range includes all your wardrobe favourites, such as every day tees, flattering denim and go-to midi dresses. All of these garments are made from sustainable materials including BCI cotton, recycled polyester and LENZING ™ ECOVERO™ Viscose.
Increasing the proportion of our range that is Green Moo is at the heart of our buying strategy and we are continually working with our suppliers to make this happen.

Reducing Landfill
The fashion industry isn’t just about sustainable fabrics and materials, it’s about consumption and waste. Working against the throwaway culture sits at the heart of the Moo Bou brand and this is where we work really hard to deliver on our promise to be sustainable and responsible.
How do we do this?
As a brand, helping you choose clothes you love, that work for you and your lifestyle, that you will wear again and again, is core to our ethos and approach. This can be seen in both our buying and marketing strategies. Our aim is to keep your clothes in use longer and keep them out of landfill.
We do this by focusing on style over trends. We support you with style advice that helps you choose the right clothes for you and we focus our content around showing you how to get the most out of your wardrobe and style your pieces in a versatile way, across our website and social channels.
In 2023 we will be launching the Moo Bou Capsule collection, which will focus on core timeless pieces that transcend seasons and trends. These items will be your go-to wardrobe pieces for years to come.
We never encourage gratuitous consumption in our offers and promotions. We offer discounts in a responsible way.
Our Buying Process
Unlike large fast fashion companies we buy in super small quantities and only rebuy when something sells well (so look out for our restocks!) This means we have next to no wastage.
All our garments are of high quality and are meant to last.
Packaging
In Summer 2022 we updated our online packaging from plastic to paper. The paper packaging is made from 100% renewable sources and is recyclable.
Our garments arrive in plastic bags from our suppliers to ensure they are protected and meet you in perfect condition. However, these plastic bags are fully biodegradable.
The bags in store are, and have always been, made from paper which is also from 100% renewable sources and is recyclable.
